ANNOUNCEMENT: “Sunnyside Beer Stroll” Set for GABF Week

For Immediate Release

Denver Beer Co. Canworks, Diebolt Brewing, & Factotum Brewhouse Announce Sunnyside Beer Stroll
Neighborhood-wide brewery exploration set for the week of Great American Beer Festival

Denver, Colo. (Aug. 19, 2015) – The breweries of Denver’s Sunnyside Neighborhood—Denver Beer Co. Canworks, Diebolt Brewing, and Factotum Brewhouse— today announced that they will host the first annual “Sunnyside Beer Stroll” Wednesday, September 23rd through Sunday, September 27th—the week of Great American Beer Festival (GABF).  Denver’s Sunnyside Neighborhood is a city-center neighborhood located on the north side of Denver, west of Interstate 25, just north of the Highlands neighborhood.

Both visiting and local beer geeks will have the opportunity to pick up a map and stamp card at any of the three taprooms and use the guide to explore the breweries of Sunnyside.  Each brewery will then stamp the card when the participant orders a full pour of beer.  The first 200 participants arriving at their third brewery may trade their completed card for a custom sticker and drink koozie from all three Sunnyside breweries.  In addition, each brewery will randomly select a winner from their collection of completed stamp cards, the winner receiving a glass and T-shirt from each brewery.  Additional prizes will be announced GABF week.

Located between 38th Avenue and I-70 and Federal Boulevard and Inca Street, the Sunnyside Neighborhood boasts the best of two worlds; it is simultaneously a quiet, small, easily walked and easily biked residential neighborhood while still having quick access to downtown Denver.  At most, it is three miles from a Sunnyside brewery to GABF, an approximate one hour walk that takes pedestrians past many of Denver’s other, non-Sunnyside breweries.  The same distance is about a 20 minute bike ride; the nearest B-cycle station can be found at the corner of 32nd Avenue and Pecos Street.  The participating breweries can be found throughout the Sunnyside neighborhood with Denver Beer Co. Canworks at 4455 Jason Street, Diebolt Brewing at 3855 Mariposa Street, and Factotum Brewhouse at 3845 Lipan Street.

About Diebolt Brewing

Diebolt Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery founded in 2013 by father and son duo Dan and Jack Diebolt.  Diebolt’s production facility and tasting room are located in the burgeoning Sunnyside neighborhood of North Denver. The Diebolt family’s ties to historical French brewing regions have influenced some of Diebolt’s beer styles.  While Diebolt’s main focus is exploring French style beer such as Saisons and  Biere de Gardes, they enjoy making a wide variety of styles and flavors including the traditional American Craft Styles.  Diebolt received national acclaim with a Silver medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival for their Braggarts Brown Ale.

About Factotum Brewhouse

Factotum Brewhouse is a sibling-owned brewery in the Sunnyside neighborhood of Denver.  With its focus on guest brewers, Factotum is unlike any other brewery in America—the beers served in the taproom are recipes from the community.  Brewers bring their ideas to Factotum, brew on premise, and their own beer is served to the public.  As such, Factotum has no flagship beers; whatever the people want to brew is what’s served.  Brew a beer, drink a beer; at Factotum, the choice is yours.
