We’ll See You at GABF!

Take a breather, beer geeks—the hustle and stress of Great American Beer Festival’s general admission ticket sales has passed; here’s hoping you and yours got all the tickets you desired and that most of the scalpers were thwarted, prevented from hoarding the lion’s share of tickets.

If you did manage to procure entrance into GABF, we’ll see you there!  We’ll be in the brand-new “Meet the Brewer” pavilion, a 30,000 square foot space of under 100 breweries that will be staffed exclusively by brewery representatives—no volunteers.  That means, when you get a pour at Factotum’s booth, it will be one of our owners, brewers, or bartenders serving you.  If you have a question about our beer, brewery, or business philosophy, you’ll get a real answer because you’ll be talking to somebody with a real connection to Factotum!  This new pavilion will be located in Hall B, a new addition to the GABF floor.

Here’s what you can drink when you visit our booth in September:

Peach Cobbler Ale: The taproom favorite from Darci and Josh is coming back in small-batch form!  If you didn’t get a chance to taste this beer before it was kicked several weeks ago, you have a second chance at GABF.  Peach Cobbler Ale will also be entered into competition in the American Fruit Beer category.

Red Jungle: This year, GABF added the “Double Red” category to its competition.  Basically, it’s a beer somewhere between a normal American Red/Amber Ale and an Imperial Red.  We figured we’d try our luck in this new category with a deep, dark red beer brewed with Mosaic, Zythos, and Galaxy hops.

Dwyer’s Ire: Another taproom favorite!  Craig Hewitt’s classic Irish Red Ale will be entered into competition.

Frönen: Factotum teamed-up with our pals at CO-Brew to host a homebrew competition.  From 160+ entries, we picked two winners; one winner brewed with CO-Brew and the other, Scott DeVelbiss, brewed his Kölsch with us.  Both beers will be entered into the Pro-Am competition.

#MZA: Brewed by Jorge Chavez, Factotum’s fastest-selling beer just kicked the other day but we had previously set aside a few small kegs to be served at GABF.  Get another taste of this tropical IPA at our booth!
